Beaver Returns to the Bronx
For the first time in over 200 years, a beaver has been seen swimming up the Bronx river and he has built a lodge of mud and wood along the banks of the river.

The animal appears in the city seal to symbolize a Dutch trading company that factored in the city's colonial beginnings, according to the city's Web site.
