A Busy and Productive Weekend

|

Yesterday, Daniel got Jack up at 5 a.m. for their hiking adventure. Since I can't sleep when others are stirring about, I got up too. They left about 6, heading for Catawba and Dragon's Tooth. Katrina got up just after they left. She played Viva Pinata while I worked at writing ads. Then she and I got all 'gussied' up and went to town.

We met Bruce and his roommate, Ryan, at the Olive Garden. Bruce treated us all to lunch and gave me a program he had downloaded for me off of the web. We had a very nice visit. Right now, the Olive Garden is offering the never-ending bowl of pasta. You get to choose from different types of pastas and different types of sauces. And if you want a second bowl, you can change the type of pasta and soda that you want. I had Smoked Mozzarella Alfredo Sauce and angel hair pasta...my mouth is still happy!

We had a nice visit, then Katrina ad I returned home. I worked on my American Bison book while she and I watched some TV. Daniel and Jack returned home from their hike, tired, dirty and full of stories of the fun they had had. We spent the evening hanging out, watching movies and being relaxed.

Today, the children and I visited a new church. We have been in limbo for over a year. We visited three or four other churches, but none of them really seemed to be what we were looking for. Today we visited the Baptist church where my children have been going to Awanas for the last three years. We received a warm welcome and we all felt very much at home. I think that we will be going here from now on.

Now I am doing a bit of blogging while watching a really bad movie with Daniel (Soda Cracker). I have some more yard sale signs to make, laundry to do, my Bison book to work on some more, and some math to check for Jack. A woman's work is never done!
