A Pet Peeve: People Who Pull Out in Front of Me
I really get annoyed by people who pull out in front of me while I am driving down the road. I am not talking about when there is heavy traffic and the only chance the person has to get out is to pull out in front...no, I can understand that. But what I don't get is when I am driving down an open road...visibility is a couple of miles in either direction. I am driving 55 or so and someone decides that they can't wait for me to pass by, but they have to pull out right in front of me instead. This leads to me slamming on my brakes and saying words that I shouldn't as I try to skillfully avoid hitting them or introducing my front grill to their trunk! Grrr! And I must admit,, I have to fight the desire to keep from tailgating them from there on. And the ones that are the worst are the ones that pull out in front of you, got 1/2 a mile, then turn off....AGGGGHHHH!!!! Can you tell this bothers me?
"Why, oh why" am I telling you this? Well, other than the fact that I hope if you are one of these people who pull out in front of others it might encourage you to change your ways...you never know when you will pick the wrong person to do it to and they decide to just hit you. But the other reason is because there is this adorable mohair teddy bear that needs a hug and I so want to be the one to give it to him! Check it out and share your pet peeve with the rest of us!
Thanks for the entry! I've got you in, thanks! Jo

September 13, 2007 1:05 AMThis is a great spinoff of my current pet peeve: people who pull out in front of you while exiting the Church Parking Lot! You'd think there'd be some common courtesy to be found amongst fellow churchgoers; we spent fully 15 minutes last Sunday trying to get out of the parking lot! You have a great heart to want to give the poor driver a hug and that adorable bear!
