Good-Bye Robert Jordan and Wheel of Time

About 6 years ago, I picked up the first book in the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. I picked it up for my son, Bruce, who I thought would enjoy the fantasy series. He didn't read it and I kept looking at it on my shelf, so I read it. And I became entranced. I have read all the books in the series and was anxiously awaiting the next installment that was supposed to be the final chapter in the amazing adventures of Rand and his friends.

Unfortunately, that is not to be. Mr. Robert Jordan has passed away after a long and courageous battle with cardiac amyloidosis. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. This master story teller will be greatly missed as will the end of his spectacular tale.
