Monday's Acts of Random Kindness
Inspired by the weekly contests at The Average Girl's Guide to Being A Princess, I have decided to begin a regular post entitled Monday's Act of Random Kindness. In it I will tell whatever random acts of kindness I manage to do, observe or receive during the week. I am hoping this will help me to be more aware of opportunities that I have to be kind to others. I also thought it would be a great way to start my week, and hopefully yours!
I would love to hear about your Random Acts of Kindess. Feel free to share in the comments below or if you post about them, leave a link and I'll come visit!
Observing, receiving, or creating Acts of Random Kindness is hard to do when you spend most of your time at home! Here is my list for the last week.
1. Last Saturday, I received a surprise bonus check in the mail. I write copy ads for a local company that sells on Ebay. I have been wirting for them for a year. They sent me a 'thank you' bonus check. A pleasant surprise and it came i handy.
2. When I was loading up at Sam's, I was putting our cold items in those 'chill' bags that you can buy from Sam's. A fellow shopper walking behind me told me that I was smart. Made my afternoon to hear that from a total stranger!
3. I was driving down the road and wanted to get some water from my water bottle. The strap had become entangled around my purse and my son noting this, reached over and unhooked it for me without being asked!
4. A fellow driver let me out into traffic.
5. I am currently seeking permission from photographers to use their photos in my next ebook(free of charge from them). They have all either granted permission or pointed me in the direction of the person that they got the photo from.
6. Be sure to check out about Acts of Random Kindness.
Wow, you really are good at finding random acts of kindness, I need to take lessons lol, thanks for the link!
September 3, 2007 6:28 PMHi Melissa! Thank you for your sweet comment! I loved reading your kindness list too- I wish everyone could appreciate the little things as well as the big ones- as you do! I think it's a great idea to do the post once a week, it will definitely help you look for positive things in your everyday life, and hopefully inspire people to do the same!
