Get Ready - Tomorrow Is April Fool's Day!
My daughter has been asking a lot the last couple of days what the date is. Now this could be related to her birthday coming up on the 8th....or it could be related to her love of April 1st and the opportunity to play pranks on people...and get away with them!
I was curious as to how April Fool's Day started so I went out looking around.
National Geographic has the following article: April Fools' Day Facts: Behind the Laughs
Like National Geographic, Wikipedia says that the origin of the day is shrouded in mystery and time, but there are some great past pranks that have been pulled and some of them are listed at Wikipedia.
No matter how the day started, it is fun to 'get' friends and family and fun to 'be gotten' as well. If you want to do something different that your children will love, check out the Family Fun website for ideas of pranks you can pull (especially the meals you can make)!

I'm not a prankster and I don't like jokes being played on me. That's why I don't care too much for April Fool's Day except that it's my sister's birthday. When she was born, the Doctor told my Dad she was a boy. hee hee
