Where Oh Where Did The Weekend Go?

Wow, here it is 9:30 pm on Sunday night and I haven't blogged today! What did I do today..well, this morning I got up and put away last night's dishes, folded two loads of laundry, read the weekly Bedford paper (that came out on Thursday), made blueberry muffins and put supper in the crockpot.

Then it was off to church. Today, I went to an orientation class where I learned a little bit more about the church we are now attending. I did this during my normal Sunday School time. I like Sunday School, but I wish we were following a different book - one that invited more questions and participation. I learn best that way.

Then after church, we came home with a friend for Katrina to play with for the afternoon. I fixed lunch. Then Daniel and I watched the movie Stripes while I worked on the last baby blanket I have lined up to make. I am close to finishing, but didn't get it completed today. I had never seen the movie Stripes. It is a bawdy movie and the humor really didn't strike me as that funny, but it is a movie from a different time and perhaps, the humor simply didn't translate that well through the ages.

Then tonight we had Awanas. There is a new little fellow in our class. We are trying to help him get used to just being in a setting where he listens, takes turns and sits in a seat. He threw quite a tantrum at the beginning, but I at least got him to calm down before we went and looked for his dad. His dad had to come into the class last week too. But he left earlier this week. I think a few more times and we will have it working fine.

Then the kids and I came home and I read them a few chapters of The Marvelous Land of Oz. Now we are going to turn in early for a change as we have a busy week ahead. I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend and will have an excellent week!
