I visit so many excellent blogs, I would want to choose just one or two. So if you would like to see the blogs that I visit regularly, then go check out my favorites list. If you aren't on there, let me know. I try to keep it up to date, but I get behind from time to time!
There are a lot of different types of blogs in the world. Some people write merely to see their thoughts in print. Others write so that their descendants will have a picture of them, their life and what was important to them. Some write so they can share their opinions and their knowledge. Some people simply write and don't connect with others. But the blogs that I frequent are of the sort where people reach out to others. They freely share of their experiences, their tips, their love and their encouragement. To me this is one of the greatest features of the blogger world.
In the last three years of my blogging experience, I have seen people pray for people they don't know beyond their words they have read. I have seen people get together and do everything from set up virtual baby showers for strangers to raising money to help pay for medical bills. I have read of bloggers leaving the comfort of their homes to head to foreign countries to share with the rest of us what is going on there. I have seen many, many times where moms are struggling with issues ranging from parenting to depression to career decisions and I have watched as others come forth and share what has worked for them.
Last week, Jen at My Three Boys and I was kind enough to give several of her readers two awards for their encouragement of her.
I wish to bestow these awards on all of my readers! You have encouraged me, taught me, shared with me, and made it a pleasure to blog on a regular basis. Thank you and may God Bless you for the joy and love you spread around the world with your words and kindnesses!

I don't know that I deserve it, but it was way too sweet to pass up! I ate a caramel apple just last week too. The first one I had in years. I can remember my mom making them when I was a kid. There are so many wonderful blogs out there and I know I have only scratched the surface at exploring the blogging world. But I want to share a few other blogs with you that I visit regularly and that I believe make a difference in our blogging community!
I always wanted to be a star (really...I would sing in front of pretend audiences as a child and why else would I blog and blog and blog)...well, Laura at Laura Williams' Musings has made my dreams come true! She has given me the Blogging Star Award! And she also rewrote a bit of Dancing Queen by Abba which just cracks me up! So go viist her post and enjoy her version...you are going to love it!
Awards are wonderful, but of course there is the difficult part...who to pass the star on to...I have met so many wonderful people in bloggy world, it is hard to pick and choose who to pass this award on to. I think you are all blogging stars! But in th spirit of the award process, I will pass this award on to five blogs...
1. Aslan Christian School - when I first started visiting this blog almost two years ago, I had now idea who Aslan was. Since then we have read all of the books and I love them!
2. Blessings from Abiga - she took wonderful photos of her summer trip. She is a working grandma who is ready to retire and enjoy her many grandchildren (she just found out there will be a new addition to the group)!
3. Greek Roots In American Soil - I enjoy her insights and honesty...and I love her avatar!
4. Our Family Adventures - I have enjoyed this peek into the life of a military family. Their committment and patriotism inspire me.
